The Sealed Parcel

A letter travels in a sealed envelope. Yours do too, and this page says who handles the parcel.

What we hold

  • Subscription details: the email you gave us, your password (kept only as a salted hash), and the salutation, birthday and gender you chose, along with whatever you scribble on your slip.
  • Your letters and the margin notes she keeps, so she remembers you.
  • A session cookie, plus another recording that you ticked the adults-only slip.
  • Payments: the sum and the transfer reference. A bank card is never requested, so none is kept.
  • Ordinary server logs, retained briefly for security.

What it is for

Purposes: to operate the chat, to enforce the rules, to keep the pages printed. Your messages pass through our own software, or a supplier on the same leash, and automatic checks scan them for safety. Letters are never sold, and no advertiser opens one.

Counting readers

A plain counter records how many readers arrive and from which country. It does not see what you write.

Your controls

Each chat's menu lets you amend her margin notes, keep a copy of the correspondence or clear it. To close the subscription and erase its contents, email the footer address from your registered one. Should the law at your address give you further rights, quote it and we will comply.
